COMMUNICATIONS TOPIC: Health Alert Notice to State and Local Public Health Agencies
SUBJECT: UPDATE: CDC Response Activity
As indicated earlier today, CDC continues to be on heightened alert status to monitor for any possible unusual disease patterns associated with today's events, including chemical and biological agents. No such events have been reported to CDC.
CDC continues to recommend that you maintain heightened surveillance for any unusual disease occurrence or increased numbers of illnesses that might be associated with today's events.
CDC is
providing assistance, as requested by public health partners in the affected
locations, and will continue to staff our emergency number of 770-488-7100 and
our Email receipt point
(healthalert@cdc.gov) <mailto:(healthalert@cdc.gov)> 24 hours per day.
CDC will be conducting business as usual
tomorrow.
