band Ensembles
  Ceremonial Band

Performing as a military field band, the musicians of the 2nd MAW Ceremonial Band have traveled the Eastern United States providing ceremonial support for military and civilian audiences. The Ceremonial Band has performed at many recognized civilian events including St. Patricks Day Parades in Chicago and New York, Mardi Gras Parades in New Orleans, several Kinston Indian games, as well as an international performance at the Belleau Wood Memorial site in France.
Concert Band

The musicians of the 2nd MAW Concert Band have spanned the continental United States entert
aining audiences with a variety of music. Performance numbers are selected from familiar patriotic marches, overtures, instrumental and vocal solos, traditional classics, and contemporary pop favorites. With an authorized strength of one officer and 50 enlisted Marines, the Band travels more than 40,000 miles annually, carrying on a long-standing tradition of excellence and service to both Corps and Country.
 
  Brass Quintet

Currently the 2nd MAW Band has two active brass quintets, each consisting of two trumpets, one French horn, a trombone, and tuba. These ensembles play at various military ceremonies, civic events, and in support of our community relations mission. With unmatched diversity, these ensembles perform patriotic, classical, and jazz literature.
Party Band

The Party Band is comprised of approximately nine instrumentalists combining brass, woodwind, and percussion, performing traditional Dixieland and Brass Band music. A spirited bunch, this ensemble is one of the most energetic groups in the band, and adds entertainment in such settings as festivals, parades, and outdoor concerts.
 
  Jazz Combo

The 2nd MAW Band Jazz Combo is a versatile ensemble that performs in a wide range of musical styles. From traditional jazz standards, to contemporary jazz, R&B, funk and fusion, the Combo performs for many different occasions, including Command events, and in support of our community relations mission.
Show Band

The Show Band consists of vocalists, drums, bass and electric guitars, and a horn line consisting of saxophones, trumpets, trombones. The Show Band covers many popular country, R&B, rock, and jazz tunes from the 70s to the present. The uniquely entertaining performance style is frequently utilized at both indoor and outdoor events and celebrations.
