The implementing mechanism advances the OU goal of improving access to health services. HWUP will strengthen the sustainability of interventions by partnering with and building capacity of non-governmental organizations working to improve the reproductive health of underserved and marginalized groups.

By the end of the project, 1) women and couples will be able to make more informed family planning and reproductive health choices; 2) family planning service providers will have more knowledge of modern family planning methods, and will use their clinical and counseling skills to address existing misinformation and fear of hormonal methods; and 3) the national and regional policy environment will be conducive to improvements in family planning and reproductive health.
