NAVAL AIR STATION JOINT RESERVE BASE, TEXAS -- A group of civilian employers prepare for their flight to view a refueling operation Saturday, Oct. 13. The flight was part of several activities during employer appreciation day the group took part in. The goal of the day was to show appreciation for civilian employers who support Reservists assigned to the 301st Fighter Wing. F-22 rolls out
Staff Sgt. Philp Philipson marshals an F-22 Oct. 1. The F-22s, grounded by Air Force officials, have resumed flying operations at Holloman. During the stand down, maintainers performed maintenance and repairs on Holloman’s fleet of about 20 Raptors.

Heart rate ... check; Oxygen level ... check
Pilots are now wearing monitoring devices to check heart rate and oxygen levels while in flight. This is one of Holloman's safety measures following a four-month F-22 grouding, mandated by Air Force officials. The Secretary of the Air Force Michael Donley and Chief of Staff Gen. Norton Schwartz have recently approved an implementation plan developed by Air Combat Command officials that will allow the F-22 Raptor to resume flight operations after a four-month stand down.

Pull Chocks on F-22s Stand Down
A 44th Fighter Group maintainer pulls chocks on an F-22 Oct. 1. For the first time in four months, Reservists are supporting flying operations. The commander of Air Combat Command directed a stand-down of the fleet May 3 as a safety precaution, following 12 separate reported incidents where pilots experienced hypoxia-like symptoms. About 20 aircraft at Holloman were grounded.

F-22s Resume Flight Operations
Capt. Bryan Dick returns salute as he taxis out an F-22. Air Force officials approved an implementation plan that will allow the F-22 Raptor to resume flight operations. All Air Force F-22s, including about 20 aircraft at Holloman were grounded four months because there were reported incidents of pilots experiencing hypoxia-like symptoms.
