In nearly two months, join the more than 11 million individuals across 12 states, the District of Columbia, two U.S. territories and three countries on October 18 2012 in the “2012 Great ShakeOut”! The ShakeOut is a 90 second earthquake drill, which serves as a reminder that earthquakes can occur at any time in any place; and provides an opportunity for communities to increase their readiness and potentially save lives, by practicing what to do when an earthquake occurs.
