A glass sphere with a painted scene depicting Chinese children in traditional clothing, on a wood stand. An artist painted the scene from inside the sphere, which measures about 4 inches in diameter, through a small hole drilled in the bottom. The sphere was presented as a gift to First Lady Hillary Clinton by Mayor Feng Xuchu of Xi'an, China during the President and First Lady's trip to China in June 1998.
