We do discipline up to and including discharge. If an officer is going to miss training they have to notify me ahead of time unless it is an emergency. They then have to arrange a time to make up the training. If they don't have their training hours by the end of the year, the are not certified and are terminated.

In Wisconsin; for adult jails and juvenile detetnion facilities, 24 hours of recertification a year is required. Only eight hours of which can be videos.

Training Officer: In Wisconsin you do not need a certificate to train others in PREA. I haven't heard of any other state that requires it either.

Tracy; I do two things. Either I write scenarios out leaving out information and putting in irrelevant information and have the officer add what is needed and leave out what is not needed. I also do as Matt suggested. last training I had a supervisor come into the training room, attack me and leave. I then had the officers write a report. I had the
