Medical Advances Save Lives in CombatSSG Matt Sims, a medic at Rader Clinic on Fort Myer, Va., demonstrates the Asherman Chest Seal, a bandage and one-way valve that lets the air out of a punctured lung. Sims credits the seal with saving his life after debris from an explosive punctured his lung in Iraq.
