New Discussion thread rejected--Please clarify why?

Lia Turk Kheirolomoom (2 months ago)  Reply

Hello, I'm new to the Coalition and attempted to post a message about a brand new video clip developed on an emergency prep topic by our local girl scout troop. It was rejected and I'd like to understand if it was solely due to the inclusion of an email address? Are we allowed to include youtube links and links to other documents? I thought so, and don't see anything prohibiting that specifically. If I can repost it without the email address, will it go through? We are not a commercial entitfy, just a community group. If there is someone who can clarify, I am hoping to be able to modify the message appropriately so that it is acceptable per your standards. Thank you, Lia/HNN.

Good morning,

Your post was not accepted because it included the distribution of personal information (e-mail address). You are permitted to post YouTube videos so long as they do not promote a commercial product and are relevant to preparedness. Please re-post your message without an e-mail address. Looking forward to seeing what your Girl Scout troop has accomplished!

The moderator post rules seem to be rather strict but obscure to the poster  thus casting a chilling effect on information exchange.  Much of the information from which we base discussions are taken from mainstream media websites where content is accompanied by advertisements and pop-ups with phone numbers etc.

We might consider using a 2nd alternate forum to allow communication with a fuller range of 1st amendment options that appear not to be available at this FEMA discussion site.
