Welcome to the U.S. Citizens information of the U.S. Mission in Brazil. The American Citizen Services (ACS) unit at the U.S. Embassy in Brasilia, at the U.S. consulates in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Recife, and the Consular Agencies in Brazil provides a wide range of services to U.S. Citizens resident or traveling in Brazil. At each location, U.S. citizens can apply for U.S. passports, document their foreign-born children as U.S. citizens, and request help in an emergency. These locations also notarize documents for use in the United States and provide assistance to recipients of Social Security and other U.S. federal benefits.
