Mission
The Office of International Operations consolidates functions which support international operations of the Office of Defense Nuclear Nonproliferation. It also provides a corporate perspective and ensures the consistency of operation and implementation of NNSA policies, procedures and systems pertaining to the operation of the international offices, providing support and assistance to the personnel assigned to these offices, the foreign travel process and nuclear nonproliferation intern programs.
International Offices
The mission of the NNSA International Offices is to provide assistance and support for NNSA missions and activities in the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Japan, China, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, and Austria (at the U.S. Mission to International Organizations in Vienna - UNVIE) that are critical to U.S. national interests and programs. The Department implements a number of programs that address issues related to regional and national security, nonproliferation, scientific exchange, energy security and education.
