You knew you can access the BEACON web site 24×7, from home, from a conference hotel, etc. Do you know, now, you can access BEACON web site while you are ON THE GO!!! You don’t even need to turn on your computer, just use your smart phone, and BEACON is just a tap away.

• Heard a reference to a paper, want to check if JPL Library has the journal, whip out your cell phone, and do a quick check.
• Wonder what ebooks are available, check the “eBooks by Topic” list, and email the list back to yourself for future reading.
• Want to see recent JPL publications, there is a short list you can browse on the BEACON mobile web site!
• Wonder if your request for a paper has arrived yet, check “My e-Articles” from BEACON Express.

These are just a few scenarios why you would use the BEACON mobile website.  The staff at the Library are interested in how you use this application, and how we can further enhance it.  There are several ways to get to the BEACON mobile site:

• Use the browser on your smart phone, put in the URL:  https://beacon.jpl.nasa.gov or https://beacon.jpl.nasa.gov/m Or,
• Scan the above image with your smart phone, and the URL is automatically added to the browser.  If you have a Droid phone, use the camera to scan.  For iPhone users, you need to have a scanning app first.
