Emergency Relief Program and Hurricane Sandy Disaster Aid

The Disaster Relief Appropriations Act of 2013 provides $10.9 billion for FTA’s Emergency Relief Program for recovery and relief efforts in areas affected by Hurricane Sandy. Of that total, $2 billion is available for immediate distribution to eligible applicants.

     
Notice of Availability of Emergency Relief Funds in Response to Hurricane Sandy https://webarchive.library.unt.edu/web/20130221152947/http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/FR-2013-02-06/pdf/2013-02729.pdf FTA announces the availability of funds under the Public Transportation Emergency Relief Program (Emergency Relief Program) (49 U.S.C. 5324) for States, local governmental authorities, Indian tribes and other FTA recipients impacted by Hurricane Sandy. FTA will distribute these funds in a manner consistent with the eligibility requirements of this program on a non-competitive basis.
