U.S. Embassy Condemns Attack in Farah Province

U.S. Embassy Kabul, Afghanistan | November 17, 2012

The United States strongly condemns yesterday's terror attack in Farah Province in which at least 17 people were reportedly killed by a roadside bomb. Our condolences go out to the families and entire communities of the victims, and we wish for a full recovery of those injured.

This reprehensible attack against innocent civilians, mostly women and children en route to a wedding celebration, demonstrates yet again that the insurgents have no respect for the Afghan people. We remain undeterred in standing with the Afghan people against this violence directed against them.
