AESDirect Service Upgrades

4/27/2001
The AESDirect Service will be upgraded this weekend with several enhancements designed to further simplify the SED submission process. These changes will be completed by 4/30/2001 and will not interrupt filing on AESDirect. The changes are:

Retrieve Shipment and Use as a Template:

When a previously filed shipment is retrieved and used as a Template, AESDirect will remove the export date from the retrieved shipment. This will avoid the accidental filing of the new shipment with the shipment date of the original shipment.

In-Bond Information:

Until the introduction of the new in-bond module in AES all in-bond related information as been removed from AESDirect.

Display of Status Lights:

The AESDirect Status Lights associated with; Equipment, Intermediate Consignee, and Freight Forwarder Sections, will not be displayed unless data is entered/or exists for these sections.

Consignee and Intermediate Consignee Profile:

The ID Number and ID Type data fields have been removed from the Consignee and Intermediate Consignee data entry and display screens.
