Lodging for June 2005 ConferenceA block of rooms has been reserved at the San Francisco Grand Hyatt, which borders Union Square. All events will be held in the hotel. Making ReservationsOur hotel block expired June 8 (and was full even after being increased more than once--another reason we closed registration early). IF there are still any rooms available at the Grand Hyatt, you may not get them at the conference rate. Online reservations may be done via this passkey link. If you are reserving by telephone, you should use 1-888-421-1442 (the passkey direct number) and request the "SciDAC 2005" room block. NOTE: If you try to register online through the main Hyatt site, you will NOT have access to our room block and rates (but at this point that may be your only option for rooms at this hotel). Room Block SpecificsThe guest room rates are:
The block reserved is 150 rooms for Sunday through Wednesday nights and 125 rooms for Thursday night. The cut off date is June 8, 2005. Reservation requests received after the cut-off date will be based on availability at the hotel’s prevailing rates (rather than our negotiated conference rate) but will still be credited to the SciDAC room block count. For reservations made before the cut-off date, the hotel will honor the conference rate for three additional days for those wanting to extend their time in San Francisco. AmenitiesRooms at the San Francisco Grand Hyatt have high speed internet access ($9.95/day), and two phones (and two phone lines), speakerphones, full bath amenities, and a work space with enhanced lighting. Wireless internet is available in the lobby, cafe, and lounges. We will arrange for our own wireless in the meeting areas. There is a complimentary onsite Health Club with treadmills, Lifecycles, Stairmasters and free weights. |
