1. Nominations are now being accepted for the following 2012 awards:
    A. Admiral Russell R. Waesche Award,
    B. RADM Bennett "Bud" Sparks Award,
    C. Reserve Outstanding Junior Officer Award (ROJO),
    D. CW4 Michael J. Novosel Award.
2. The selected nominee for the CW4 Michael J. Novosel award is
automatically named Coast Guard Reserve Chief Warrant Officer of the
Year.
3. General information about these awards is found in REF A. Updated
awards criteria and guidelines are posted online at
http://www.uscg.mil/reserve/awards and supercede those found in REF
A.
4. Nomination packages must be submitted electronically to the point
of contact below and must be received by close of business on 15 FEB
2013.
5. In accordance with REF B, the Coast Guard Reserve Awards panel
will deliberate and submit its recommendations to COMDT (CG-13).
COMDT (CG-13) will announce results via ALCOAST.
6. Awards will be presented at the ROA National Convention in
Washington, DC in AUG 2013. COMDT (CG-131) may fund travel for
command representatives and individuals to accept awards.
