FWAATS Mission

Conducts NGB directed individual aircrew member qualification training. Emphasis is on Fixed Wing skills. Provide Aviation quality assurance by performing flight evaluations and developing courses of instruction that standardize flight procedures. Operates Flight Simulators in support of both courses of instruction and regional training requirements as directed by chief, national guard bureau. Conducts individual enlisted crew member training. Provides medical services and crash rescue capability in support of the fwaats mission. Upon mobilization, augments the tradoc aviation training mission as an activity under command and control of the U.S. Army Aviation Center.
