Captain Aicha D. Williamson was born in El Centro, CA. She enlisted in the Army in September of 2001 and completed Basic Combat Training and Paralegal Course at Fort Jackson, SC. She later attended Officer Candidate School and was commissioned as a Military Police Officer in January 2006.
Captain Williamson has served in numerous positions of responsibility, both as Enlisted and as an Officer. Her military positions and assignments include: Paralegal Specialist and Court Reporter, JAG, Fort Sill, Oklahoma; Platoon Leader, 249th Military Police Detachment, Camp Humpries, Korea; Platoon Leader, 188th Military Police Company, Dague, Korea; Company Executive Officer, 401st Military Police Company, Fort Hood, Texas; Provost Marshal, 1HBCT, Camp Casey, Korea; Operations Officer, Directorate of Emergency Services, Fort Jackson, South Carolina.
Captain Williamson’s deployments include Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2008 to 2009.
Captain Williamson has a Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Cameron University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies from Excelsior College .
Captain Williamson’s military education consists of Antiterrorism Officer Basic Course, Equal Opportunity Course, Commander and First Sergeant Course, Military Police Captain’s Career Course, Military Police Officer Basic Course, and Primary Leadership Development Course.
Captain Williamson’s awards and decorations include Army Commendation Medal (6 OLC) , Army Achievement Medal (3 OLC), Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism, Korean Defense Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, and Overseas Service Ribbon.
