CPT Nelson

CPT Sherric Nelson, Sr. is a engineer officer, who has served in a variety of engineer and medical assignments. He is a 2006 Distinguished Military Graduate of the Reserve Officer Training Corps, Savannah State University. CPT Nelson is a graduate of the Engineer Captains' Career Course. He has also earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Savannah State University, a Master of Business Administration from Mississippi State University, and a Master of Science in Engineering Management from the Missouri University of Science and Technology.

CPT Nelson operational assignments include Bosnia, Kosovo, and a combat tour in Iraq. He has served as an Operations Assistant for the Combined Arms Support Command, Fort Lee, Virginia; Senior Line Medic in the 1st Infantry Division, Vilseck, Germany; Medical Squad Leader in the 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia; and as the Clinical NCO of the Tuttle Army Health Clinic, Hunter Army Airfield, Savannah, Georgia; Platoon Leader in the 87th Engineer Sapper Company, and as an Executive Officer for the 937th Clearance Company; both companies of the 36th Engineer Brigade, Fort Hood Texas.

CPT Nelson's decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, the Army Commendation Medal with an oak leaf cluster, the Army Achievement Medal with an oak leaf cluster, the Army Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, the Kosovo Campaign Medal, the Iraqi Campaign Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Medal, the Armed Forces Service Medal, the NCO Professional Development Ribbon, the Army Service Ribbon, two Overseas Ribbons, and two NATO Medals. CPT Nelson also earned the Expert Field Medical Badge.

First Sergeant

Sergeant First Class Robert L. Longacre entered the United States Army in 1994, attending Basic Combat at Fort Benning, GA, with an initial assignment to Bravo Company, 1st Battalion 41st Infantry, 2nd Armor Division, Bravo Company, 2nd Battalion 8th Infantry, 4th Infantry Division, 2nd Brigade Headquarters, Camp Hovey, Korea, 2nd Infantry Division, Alpha Company, 2nd Battalion, 187th Infantry, 101st Airborne Division, State College Recruiting Company, Harrisburg Battalion, 1st Recruiting Brigade, Bravo Company, 1st Battalion 67th Armor, 4th Infantry Division, Bravo Company, 3rd Battalion 67th Armor, 4th Infantry Battalion, and Bravo Company, 2nd Battalion 12th Calvary, 1st Calvary Division. Prior to arriving at 3rd Battalion 13th Infantry Regiment Sergeant First Class Longacre served as the Senior Drill Sergeant, Foxtrot Company 2nd Battalion 13th Infantry.

Sergeant First Class Longacre has held many leadership positions, including Squad Automatic Weapon Gunner, Rifleman, Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicle Driver, Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicle Gunner, Command Team Driver, Fire Team leader, Squad Leader, Recruiter, Bradley Infantry Vehicle Commander, Infantry Platoon Sergeant, and Drill Sergeant. Sergeant First Class Longacre’s military and civilian education includes Air Assault School, Combat Lifesavers Corse, Primary Leadership Development Course, Recruiter School, Basic and Advance Non-commissioned Officers Course, Small UAV Operators Course, and United States Army Drill Sergeant School. Sergeant First Class Longacre is currently working towards an Associate’s Degree in General Studies.
