Effective Saturday noon, the Directorate of Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation closed all DFMWR facilities through Sunday or until damage assessment, mitigation and recovery is underway and the facilities are verified to be safe.
The current track of the eye of the storm indicates it will directly effect our area between 1-8 a.m. Sunday, but the forward edge is already beginning to impact our area and conditions will become increasingly nasty through 8 a.m. tomorrow.
It is recommended that personnel begin to settle wherever they have decided to shelter. State and local authorities would like to minimize traffic on roadways to ensure emergency response elements can rapidly move through the area.
