How to get to the U.S. Embassy in The Hague
Only people who have an appointment can visit the U.S. Embassy in The Hague. You need to bring your photo ID (passport or driving license). Cellular phones and other electronic equipment are not allowed.
Although the official street address is the Lange Voorhout, the entrance of the Embassy is at the back (Smidsplein), across from the French Embassy.
Public Transport
You can plan your train journey to The Hague by calling 0900 9292 or via the website of the Netherlands Railways.
The Hague Centraal Station is a 10 minute walk from the Embassy: walk in the direction "Scheveningen". When you come to the Malieveld, you cross the bridge and then you are on the Korte Voorhout. After about 50 metres, on your right-hand side is the Smidsplein.
By tram and bus: stop at the Korte Voorhout: trams 16 and 17.
Stop at the Malieveld: tram 9, bus 18.
From The Hague HS (Hollands Spoor) Station, you can take trams 9 or 16 or a taxi.
By Car
From all directions: at the "Prins Clausplein" you should follow signs for "Den Haag/Scheveningen" which will take you to the Utrechtsebaan.
At the end of the Utrechtsebaan you turn left and follow the Zuidhollandlaan.
At the traffic lights, turn left again. On your left-hand side is parking garage "Malieveld."
From the parking garage, you cross the street and bridge. Then you are on the Korte Voorhout. After about 50 metres on your right-hand side is the Smidsplein.
