02/26/2013 : North Central Texas Fusion Center FLO Network Initiative - McKenney, TX

The training program is designed for line level personnel who have the ability, background, and desire to share and receive pertinent information regarding criminal threats at the local, state and national level. This training will allow the FLO to have access to all relevant resources available through the information sharing network. Each participant will receive 24 hours of training. The following topics/subjects will be covered: • Domestic and international trends specific to North Central Texas • Intelligence cycle and CFR 28 compliance • Civil Rights/Civil Liberties • Threat vulnerabilities • Situational recognition • Information analysis and dissemination • Incident response to terrorist bombings • NCTFC database and software capabilities (COPLINK) • Homeland Security Information Network (HSIN)
02/24/2013 : NCJFCJ Judicial Institute: Family Law - San Antonio, TX

The National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges (NCJFCJ) works to ensure justice for every family and every child in every court throughout this country. Join us in San Antonio, Texas as we launch our new annual national conference, Judicial Institute: Family Law, to be held February 24-27, 2013. This program will feature a range of cutting edge family law topics on challenging issues in divorce, custody and visitation, property distribution and finances, military service and families, and the role technology and social media play both in and out of the courtroom. Approximately 350 attendees, including registered participants and faculty, are expected at this conference. Judges who hear juvenile and family law cases are expected to make up approximately 70% of participants, with the remainder being attorneys, administrators, and court personnel. However, others working in the field of juvenile and family justice are also welcome to attend.
