The mission of the Marine Corps Base Public Affairs Office (PAO) is to provide robust public affairs support to the base and its tenant commands.
Our vision reflects support to the warfighters, and we are committed to leading the field in aggressive execution of a three-pronged attack consisting of internal information, external information and community relations.
At base PAO, public affairs is never just about a Globe article, the TV coverage, the media interview or a spot on our website -- each evolution should be all those things, and more. Located aboard Camp Lejeune in Building 67 on Virginia Dare Drive, base PAO provides a range of support to the independent public affairs offices at each tenant command.
Internal Information
Internal information is geared to using various media to inform and educate a command audience (to include family members, retirees, and the Civilian Marines). Internal information includes The Globe, an electronic marquee on Holcomb Boulevard, this web site, the Television Section and daily media reports.
The Globe is published on a weekly basis and keeps the Marines, sailors, and the surrounding community in touch with what's happening on base and what the Corps is accomplishing locally and worldwide.
