The American College of Cardiology (ACC) is excited to work with Million Hearts™ toward the shared aims of reducing heart disease and improving Americans health and productivity. In addition to educating the entire cardiac care team about the best, evidence-based strategies for reducing cardiovascular disease, the ACCs PINNACLE Registry, the nations largest cardiovascular outpatient database, will help monitor progress toward the goals of Million Hearts™ and provide important feedback to help improve performance. On the consumer front, the ACCs CardioSmart National Care Initiative, which involves not only community events, but a robust online presence that offers information on disease states, treatment options, blood pressure tracking and more, will also play an important role in reaching those living with (or at risk of) heart disease about the ABCS and everyday strategies for healthy living.
