The Command Administrative Support directorate is responsible for administration support for the DLA Energy leadership and carries out its duties through three divisions.

Administrative and Logistics Support Division

This division's responsibilities include maintenance of signature authority for all DLA Energy correspondence, management of correspondence requiring the signature of DLA Energy leadership, and management of all suspense actions required of the DLA Energy leadership. This division also includes supply management for consumable items necessary for DLA Energy operations at the McNamara Headquarters Complex, Hybla Valley, and Gatehouse facility, as well as mail and FedEx management in support of all three locations. The division provides administrative support for the command driver, and management and oversight of the command’s General Services Administration leased vehicles. 

Additionally, the division is responsible for the programmatic aspect of government records management within DLA Energy through the Records Management branch. The Records Management branch’s duties include the development and maintenance of DLA Records Management Guidance and Records Management File Plans for each region and business unit within DLA Energy. The division is also responsible for coordinating facilities services within the McNamara Headquarters Complex and space management at the HQC and the Gatehouse facility.

Continuous Process Improvement Division

The division manages and executes the DLA Energy Lean Six Sigma/Continuous Process Improvement  Program per DoD and DLA Guidance and the DLA Energy Director’s annual LSS/CPI Guidance through the Continuous Process Improvement Division. This division also represents DLA Energy in any DLA sponsored LSS/CPI initiative that affects the organization.

 Internal Operations Division

The Internal Operations division provides support in the form of administrative support, research support and presentation support for all DLA governance efforts by DLA Energy leadership. The division is responsible for the collection and presentation of DLA Energy operational metrics, which includes all metric data transmitted to DLA Headquarters in support of the DLA Alignment Group, the DLA Executive Board and the DLA Strategy Council, or successor DLA governance structures. Internal Operations is responsible for collection and presentation of all information reporting progress against transformational initiatives, including primary level field activity reviews or their successors, in support of the DLA Energy leadership. The division is also responsible for metrics internal to DLA Energy such as the monthly management review. Members of this division represent DLA Energy at the working level of all DLA strategic planning initiatives including DLA annual guidance and business plans. Internal Operations provides administrative, research and presentation support for all reviews associated with DLA Strategic Plans and Annual Guidance or Business Plans. The division represents DLA Energy at DLA working groups that support DLA sponsored surveys such as the DLA Culture Survey and is responsible for the development of the DLA Energy Corporate Culture Plans.
