Budget Process

The Federal Budget Process

The process in which the federal budget is proposed, debated and eventually made law involves a specific timeline, which follows the fiscal as opposed to the calendar year, certain steps, from ETA's budget request to the Department of Labor to DOL's budget request to the Office of Management and Budget, which makes a proposal to the President and Congress, and many participants from the Executive and Legislative branches of the government.
