Forecast Discussion: Saturday-Monday: The cold front that moved through on Friday will bring a colder airmass to the area on Saturday. In the mid levels, the base of a trough will move through the area with energy rounding the base of the trough, which will create a slight chance for a light shower or snow flurries early Saturday morning. High pressure and mid level ridging will build into the area from the west on Sunday to clear the skies and to provide warmer temperatures. The high will move east of the area on Monday and clouds will increase ahead of another system that will move through on Tuesday. Winds will be from the northwest at 15-20 mph on Saturday, from the southwest up to around 10 mph on Sunday, and from the south up to around 15 mph on Monday. Strong surface winds will create a good amount of atmospheric mixing, which will keep PM2.5 in the GREEN range the entire forecast period. ML
