Public Affairs
The Office of Public Affairs is responsible for the public diplomacy activities of the embassy in media relations, cultural and educational activities, and through the services of the Information Resource Center. It administers and conducts information, educational exchange, and cultural programs for the United States Government overseas and provides public affairs advice and support to the ambassador and other officials at the embassy.
In addition to supporting and planning cultural activites, the Cultural Affairs Office manages the following ongoing programs:
- Educational Exchanges
- Democracy Commission Small Grants Program
- Ambassador's Fund for Cultural Preservation
- Information Resource Center
Press Office
The Embassy's Press Office works closely with Serbian print and electronic media to provide objective information on U.S. government policies. The Press Office provides information on policies of the U.S. government, disseminates statements, and responds to queries from journalists regarding U.S. government actions and positions.
