Personnel Security
The Garrison Security Office provides Garrison US, contractor, and military personnel assistance with the submission of background investigations for security clearances, employment suitability, and network access. The office also provides clearance verification, security briefings, and in/out-processing services to Garrison personnel. Contractor and NAF suitability determinations are also conducted by the office in coordination with the hiring officials. Information Security Program
The Garrison Security Office protects classified and sensitive information for the Garrison by ensuring access to classified information is limited only to authorized persons, that all classified information is properly handled (marked, stored, reproduced, transmitted, transported, and destroyed) and by providing in-depth training and guidance to Garrison personnel handling classified. Additionally the office provides Information Security support and guidance to the tenant unit S2/security personnel. - Open storage area inspections

Local National Screening Program
The Garrison Security Office provides management and oversight of the Local National Screening Program (LNSP). The LNSP in Germany helps to ensure only properly cleared foreign nationals are employed with and/or granted unescorted access to U.S. facilities. |

Security Education, Training and Awareness
The Garrison Security Office organizes and provides the community annual Security Education Training and Awareness (SETA). Threat Awareness Reporting Program (formerly SAEDA) is conducted by the local 66th MI Detachment |

Fingerprint Services
The Garrison Security Office provides fingerprint support for civilian background (clearance and suitability) investigations, naturalization, and certifications. Soldiers should contact their unit security/S2 office to coordinate all of their fingerprint requirements. Services offered from 8:30-11 a.m., Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
