Talking Points: Head Start and Refugee Provider Communication Guide

The National Center on Cultural and Linguistic Responsiveness (NCCLR) is collaborating with Bridging Refugee Youth and Children's Services (BRYCS), a national technical assistance provider for the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), to develop materials and resources to support refugee families in Head Start. A refugee is any person who is outside their home country and unable to return because of fear of persecution. Almost all refugee parents with children up to five years of age will meet the income-based eligibility requirements for Head Start services when they first arrive in the United States.
