Based on your role and the RS status, the available actions to perform on the RS may change. The following table lists these actions (available either as buttons at the bottom of the page or as links for a specific RS)

Start a New RS Button |
Initiates the relinquishing process. Available for grants without a RS started. Also, a new RS may be initiated for the same grant if the existing ones have been acknowledge as received by NIH. Access is granted to SOs only. |
View Link |
Opens the RS in PDF format, if the status of the RS is Submitted or Received. |
Edit Link |
Opens the RS in editable form so that you can enter all necessary data. Available for RS(s) with a status of Work in Progress (WIP) or Returned. Access is granted to any SO at the relinquishing institution. |
Delete Link |
Deletes the RS which has not been submitted to the agency yet. Available for RS(s) in SO Work In Progress state. Access is granted to any SO at the relinquishing institution. |
Search Button |
Opens the New Institution – Search page. Available for RS with a status of Work in Progress (WIP). Access is granted to PD/PIs when the PD/PI is the current reviewer and SOs when the SO is the current reviewer. See New Institution - Search for details. |
Route Button |
Routes the RS to the next reviewer for further review or corrections. Available for grants with a status of Work in Progress (WIP) or Returned. Access is granted to the current reviewer. |
View Routing History Link |
Opens a page that displays a routing history table. Available for grants with a status of Work Progress (WIP), Submitted, or Received. Access is granted to SOs at the relinquishing institution. |
Submit Button |
Submits the RS to the agency. Available for grants with a status of SO Work in Progress (WIP) or Returned. Access is granted to any SO at the relinquishing institution. Note that the PD/PI who has been delegated submit authority cannot submit the RS to the agency. |
