Welcome Home Ceremony
Before making travel arrangements, PLEASE CONTACT YOUR FAMILY READINESS SUPPORT ASSISTANT OR THE REAR DETACHMENT COMMANDER FOR THAT UNIT. They will be able to confirm the arrival time listed here.

Welcome Home Ceremonies will be held for all returning 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) Soldiers. Families and friends are welcome to attend the ceremonies.
Family member parking for transport to Welcome Home Ceremony - please follow the signs to the ceremony parking. Family members - to include those with child car seats - are not to park at the Welcome Home ceremony site. Buses are available to transport Family members safely.
These times are tentative, and may change at any time up to 2 hours before the scheduled time. Please plan to arrive at least 2 hours prior to the ceremony start time. If you have questions about your Soldier's specific UNIT Ceremony time, please call the point of contact listed for his/her unit.
Fort Campbell is a restricted access post. Guards at the gates conduct a 100% identification card check of all vehicle operators/passengers and pedestrians entering the installation. All occupants above the age of 16 must present photo identification to be granted access. Individuals unable to provide a photo identification card are not permitted.
If you are driving onto Fort Campbell, enter through Gate 4 after first visiting the Visitors Center. It’s the brick building on the right before you enter Gate 4. You must present a valid license, current registration and proof of insurance to obtain a pass allowing you to drive onto the installation.
The Visitors Center hours of operation are as follows:
Monday - Friday: 6 a.m. until 6:30 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
Sunday: 9 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

What to expect:
Be flexible! Our Soldiers are coming home on contracted airlines. Those flight arrival times often change, based on weather, mechanical issues, or a variety of other issues. Flight time often changes. The ceremony times listed on this site may change at any time. Call your unit point of contact if you have questions or concerns.
Flights may also arrive early. You should plan to arrive at the ceremony site 2 hours before the projected ceremony time. If flights arrive early, the ceremonies will not be delayed to wait for the arrival of family members.
Volunteers will be on site with free beverages and snacks. If you or your children have specific dietary needs, you will need to bring those items with you.
There are seats inside the ceremony site, providing plenty of space to wait for the flight to arrive. Additionally, families will be allowed to go outside as the plane arrives and watch their Soldier deplane.
Members of the media are invited to each Welcome Home Ceremony. Feel free to talk to them if you wish.
After the Soldiers deplane, they will form up outside of the facility. Soldiers will then march into the facility for a brief (3-5 minute) ceremony. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Soldiers and families will spend about 20 minutes together. Following that, Soldiers will go back into formation to board buses. While they are boarding buses to go to their unit to turn in weapons and other sensitive items, families will be briefed on reintegration issues, and then returned to their vehicles. Strip maps will be provided, showing the location of the unit area where the Soldier can be picked up once weapons turn-in is completed.
What not to bring:
Pets of any kind (certified guide dogs are the exception)
Weapons
Alcohol
Balloons are permitted in the hangar, but they cannot be carried onto the flight line.
