Ambassador Susman on the International Day Against Homophobia

Ambassador Susman's Remarks on the International Day Against Homophobia (IDAHO)

17 May 2012

Transcript of Ambassador Susman's Youtube video remarks.

Ambassador Susman: From its very beginnings, the United States has been dedicated to an unshakeable faith in equality.

And time and again, we’ve had to overcome remarkable odds in pursuit of this noble ideal.

“International Day Against Homophobia” reminds us that the fight for true equality goes on for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and trans-gender individuals everywhere.

President Obama and Secretary Clinton have made this cause a human rights priority.

Instead of standing idle in the face of hate, intolerance, and discrimination; America is standing up to it all over the world.
