The 111th Fighter Wing hosted a Christmas dinner on Dec. 3, 2011 for over 50 clients and their caretakers of the Lynch Homes, a program specializing in the care of developmentally, physically and medically challenged people of all ages. This event, which began through members of the former 913th Air Wing and the attached Aerial Port Squadron is a one day celebration of food, music, gifts and of course, Santa!

Senior Airman Jessica Berger of the 111th Medical Group checks a new patient into the medical treatment area. Several hundred area civilians participated in the exercise serving as injured victims, hysterical bystanders, contaminated personel and rabble rousers, which added heightened realism to the mock event. The complete personnel flow-through processing area covers almost an entire football field. The tents are designed for rapid set-up, taking only minutes to unfold, open up and hoist. Team Black defeats a valiant Team Yellow Jun. 5, 2011 to win the Sports Day 2011 championship. Sports Day is an event where wing members compete in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities which test their cognitive skills and showcase their athletic abilities. Established in October of 2007, Sports Day was created to bring the unit together after several deployments and the hot summer which took place that year. The goal is to foster camaraderie, have fun, and work together as a team. Members of Team Black are: Staff Sgt. Sean Kelly, Tech. Sgt. Jason Adams, Senior Master Sgt. Brian Mack, Master Sgt. On Aug. 27, 2011, the National Guard sponsored a three state prevention and relationship enhancement program (PREP) at the Chauncey Hotel and Convention Center in Princeton, N.J. The scheduled three day event was attended by 45 Air and Army National Guard couples from Del., Pa. and N.J. The program teaches and re-enforces the skills and attitudes associated with successful marriages. Several of the areas covered in PREP course focused on: communication, conflict management, affect regulation, commitment, expectation, intimacy enhancement, and gender differences. It provides a proactive approach, geared towards relationship adjustments rather than reactionary intervention after problems have emerged.
