Hod Shlit, a foreman and driver for Majesty Moving & Storage of Sunrise, FL, was sentenced to a 51-month jail term and fined $439,760 by a U.S. District Court judge in Miami. Shlit pleaded guilty to taking part in a conspiracy in a scheme to extort large sums of money from moving customers by holding their possessions hostage. Shlit must surrender to immigration officials for deportation proceedings after completing his prison term.
