This page is meant for small businesses to register and gain access to the SBIR.gov system. Completed registrations will receive a unique SBC Control ID to be used for submissions at any of the 11 participating agencies in the SBIR or STTR programs.
To begin registration, first search for your company by entering your company's name, EIN/Tax ID, DUNS number, or a contract/grant number for one of your company's awards. You may fill in more than one field.
All applicants to the program are required to complete their registration at SBA's Company Registry prior to submitting an application. Completed registrations will receive a unique SBC Control ID and .pdf file to be used for submissions at any of the 11 participating agencies in the SBIR or STTR programs.
SBIR agencies have established performance benchmarks for which applicants must meet in order to apply and receive funding through the SBIR program. The purpose of these benchmarks are to ensure that repeat Phase I awardees are attempting to and have some success in receiving Phase II awards and commercializng their research. As a result, these benchmakrs will only apply to those Phase I applicants that have received more than 20 prior Phase I awards. View Benchmarks
Completed registrations will have access to their company's calculated benchmarks using award data across all agencies.
Company ownership and commercialization information collected will not be distributed or displayed on the public facing site and is for internal use only.
