On November 9, leading experts will discuss the challenges of using social media to communicate within their organizations, with the public, and across organizations at NDU’s conference, “Social Media Implementation Across Organizational Boundaries.”

The conference offers valuable networking opportunities, and participants will leave knowing how to:

  • Determine contexts where social media can be applied across organizations.
  • Choose from various strategies for implementing social media to solve challenges across organizations.
  • Access individuals and projects that demonstrate best practices in the use of social media to meet the challenges of specific problems that require interaction across organizational boundaries.
Keynote Speakers

General James E. Cartwright: Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff
Evan Kohlmann: NBC News consultant and Terrorism Expert

“Social media within government organizations has been focused internally, with more of an agency approach. Wikis, blogs, and Facebook-like applications have been developed primarily with a focus on serving the collaboration needs within a particular agency,” noted Paulette Robinson, Assistant Dean for Teaching, Learning & Technology at NDU iCollege. “We’ve selected speakers who are involved in projects that use social media across organizations and agencies to address challenges that require collaboration and communication beyond agencies’ borders.”

Seating is limited and accommodated on a first-come, first-serve basis, so register now to reserve your spot.
