The 60th AALAS National Meeting will be held November 8-12, 2009 in Denver, Colorado. Here is a complete Schedule of ASLAP Activities at the AALAS National Meeting. The 25th ANNUAL ASLAP NOON LUNCHEON will take place Monday, November 9, 2009, from Noon - 2:00 pm at the Hyatt, Mineral Hall D & E. The speaker will be humorist Robert Skogland, The Humble Farmer. Reservations must be made by October 20, 2009. Reservation forms are available here. ASLAP members may also register and pay on-line after logging in to the members-only area. The Board of Directors of the ASLAP Foundation would like to announce the availability of the Request for Application (RFA) for the 2010 Summer Fellowship program. The RFA can be found at http://www.aslap.org/FoundationRFA2010.pdf. The ASLAP Foundation is incorporated in the State of Illinois and is registered with the IRS as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. The purpose of the Foundation is to provide awards and scholarships to veterinary students who have demonstrated an interest in the practice of laboratory animal medicine. The ASLAP Foundation summer fellowship program is intended to provide the student with a 10-12 week concentrated exposure to the practice of laboratory animal medicine that combines both didactic and experiential training. The fellowship program will provide up to $5,000 to support the summer student. The deadline for submitting applications is September 28, 2009 with awards made by October 30, 2009. American Society of Laboratory Animal Practitioners (ASLAP) The ACLAM-ASLAP Salary Survey for Laboratory Animal Veterinarians for the Year 2008 has been completed. The final results are available for download. The Salary Survey Committee wishes to thank all the members who responded to the survey. We received a 54% survey return rate, which gives us a high degree of confidence in the results.
