The High Temperature Corrosion Test Facilities and High Pressure Test Facilities for Metal Dusting include:

High Pressure Test Facility for Metal Dusting Resistance:

The facility is used to evaluate the performance of Fe- and Ni-base structural alloys in metal dusting environments at temperatures up to 700°C and pressures up to 600 psi.

High Pressure Metal Dusting Test FacilityHigh Pressure Metal Dusting Test Facility: Structural materials are tested for their corrosion resistance in simulated metal dusting environments at elevated temperatures, typical of conditions in hydrogen-, ammonia-, and methanol-reformers and in syngas plants.

Atmospheric Pressure Test Facility for Metal Dusting:

We have five facilities that are used to develop a mechanistic understanding of metal dusting degradation and to evaluate newly developed alloys, coatings, and weldments with improved metal dusting resistance.

Atmospheric tests facilitiesAtmospheric tests facilities are used to develop a fundamental understanding of metal dusting reactions and material performance over a wide range of simulated process conditions, temperatures, surface finish and coatings. The facilities are used to test developmental alloys and coatings with improved metal dusting resistance.
