Federal Regulation Websites

The CFR is updated annually, so you will need to go to these websites every year in case there have been changes.  The human subject protection regulations that relate to research are the regulations governing Informed Consent and the structure/function of Institutional Review Boards (IRBs).  

• For 38 CFR, the VA section of the code is 38 CFR 16 – the VA regulations for human subject protections, with consent and IRB regulations combined in one part.
