tabNCOA Additional Information 
- There are no emergency medical facility at the Sheppard Clinic, proceed to United Regional Hospital downtown or call 911

- The Tumbleweed Dining Facility located near the lodging office is the primary facility for NCOA students to use with the following hours of operation: 0530-0730 breakfast, 1030-1330 lunch, and 1645-1945 for dinner

- NCOA students need to review the policies regarding appropriate civilian attire posted at most base facilities prior to use, paying particular attention to the policies at dining facilities and fitness centers

- The NCOA is located about a mile from the lodging area and is a 15 minute walk north of lodging on Ave J past the aircraft training ramp

- Both the academy and lodging are on located on the bus route, the bus runs every 30 minutes during the week and takes about 7 minutes to arrive at the academy. Be sure to note the bus stop location in front of the NCOA lodging area and the departure time if you plan on riding the bus once you arrive
tabNCOA Reporting Instructions 
Student attending the Sheppard NCO Academy (TDY status) need to report to base lodging (Sheppard Inn) the day prior to the class start date. The academy has made a reservation for each student, however, be sure to let the lodging staff know you are attending the NCOA when you check-in.

All students need to report to building 1900, NCOA Auditorium, located on Missile Rd NLT 0700. The uniform for the first day of class is a service uniform (long or short sleeve tie/tab and ribbons are optional) with occupational badge and authorized headgear.
tabNCOA Requirements 
REQURED ITEMS TO BRING TO THE NCOA ON THE FIRST DAY

- Copy of current AF fitness test printed from the AF Portal, test MUST be current through the last day of class

- Current Information Assurance Certificate

- If applicable, AF FM 422/Physical Profile Serial Report and AF FM 469/Duty Limiting Condition Report (MUST be coordinated with NCO Academy and Formal Training NLT 35 days prior to class start)

- Copy of TDY orders (n/a local students)


REQUIRED UNIFORM ITEMS FOR NCOA STUDENTS

- ABUs with authorized headgear and boots

- Blue shirts long and short sleeve

- Flight cap (unless authorized the wear of a beret)

- Service coat with all accouterments with matching material/shade pants/skirt

- Low quarter shoes, specific uniform inspection, and/or special events

- Skirt and slacks for specific uniform inspections, and/or special events

- AF PTU/IPTU gear

- Note: The wear of occupational badges is mandatory while attending PME per AFI 36-2903 para 5.9.6


SUGGESTED UNIFORM ITEMS FOR NCOA STUDENTS

- Lightweight blue jacket

- Sweater, pullover and/or cardigan

- APECS or IRS jacket

- Gortex jacket

- Green Fleece

- Blue all weather coat

- Gloves

- Reflective belt (highly encourage after dark)

Air Force Instruction 40-102, dated 3 June 2002 prohibits students from using tobacco in any professional military education (PME) or formal training school during school duty hours
