Brigadier General Mark A. McAlisterCaptain Joseph H. Johnson III was born in New Orleans, LA and commissioned a second lieutenant in the Adjutant General Corps following his 2004 graduation from Louisiana State University. After graduating from the Adjutant General Officer Basic Course, CPT Johnson was assigned to 377th Theater Sustainment Command, New Orleans, Louisiana, where he served as the Special Troops Battalion S-1. In 2006, CPT Johnson was assigned to the 3d Armored Cavalry Regiment in Fort Hood, Texas, where he served as the Regimental Adjutant and Deputy Regimental S-1 and later served as the 4th Squadron, 3d ACR (Longknife) S-1. CPT Johnson deployed with 4th Squadron, 3d ACR in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 07-09. Upon graduation from the Adjutant General Captain’s Career Course in 2009, he was assigned as an instructor in the Combined Arms Department. CPT Johnson currently serves as the Headquarters and Headquarters Company Commander for the Training Support Battalion, United States Army Soldier Support Institute.
CPT Johnson’s military education includes: The Adjutant General Officer Basic Course; Adjutant General Captain’s Career Course; Staff and Faculty Development Course; Small Group Instructor Training Course; Combatives Course.
CPT Johnson’s military awards and decorations include: The Army Commendation Medal (with two oak leaf clusters); Army Achievement Medal; Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal; National Defense Service Medal; Iraqi Campaign Medal; Global War on Terrorism Medal; Army Service Ribbon; Overseas Service Ribbon; Army Reserves Components Overseas Training Ribbon; and the Combat Action Badge. His last unit received the Valorous Unit Award.
Captain Johnson is married to the former Ms. Emmanuela B. McSween of Donaldsonville, Louisiana; they have one son, Joseph H. Johnson IV.

1SG FordFirst Sergeant Ramona D. Geiger, a native of Shelbyville, Tennessee, enlisted in the Army in 1989.
She is a graduate of the SSG Todd R. Cornell Noncommissioned Officer Academy, First Sergeant’s Course, Camp Casey, Republic of Korea; Noncommissioned Officer’s Academy (ANCOC and BNCOC), Fort Jackson, South Carolina; the United States Army Drill Sergeant School, Fort Jackson, South Carolina; the Primary Leadership Development Course, Second Infantry Division, Wightman NCO Academy, Republic of Korea; and the Postal Operations Course, United States Army Soldier Support Center, Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana.
First Sergeant Geiger has completed overseas tours in the Federal Republic of Germany, and the Republic of Korea. Her stateside assignments include Fort Jackson, South Carolina and two tours of duty at Fort Hood, Texas. Her deployments include Israel, Thailand and Southwest Asia.

First Sergeant Geiger has served in her current assignment as the First Sergeant of HHC Training Support Battalion, Soldier Support Institute since January 2011.
Among her military awards and decorations are: Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (3rd Award), Army Commendation Medal (5th Award); Joint Service Achievement Medal (2nd Award); Army Achievement Medal (7th Award); Korea Defense Service Medal; Southwest Asia Bronze Star Medal (3 Bronze Stars); Noncommissioned Officers Professional Development Ribbon with Numeral 3; Kuwait Liberation Medal (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia); Kuwait Liberation Medal (Government of Kuwait) and the coveted Drill Sergeant Identification Badge.
First Sergeant Geiger is married to Chief Warrant Officer Three Tony M. Geiger and they have 2 children, Jalen, 10 years old and Ja’nia, 5 years old.

Reporting Instructions:
Soldiers MUST report in the duty uniform.

PCS Personnel – Does your DA 31 (signed by O-5 or above at your losing unit) authorize PTDY?

Yes! -  Report to the Housing Services Office (Room 241 in the Strom Thurmond Building – Bldg 5450, at the intersection of Marion Road and Strom Thurmond Blvd).  HSO is open Mon – Fri from 0730-1615.  They will stamp your DA 31 to validate the PTDY.  Upon completion of PTDY, report to A Co.

No! – Report directly to HHC.  After in-processing, you may request up to 10 days PTDY, if time allows prior to your course start date.

All Soldiers must sign in with HHC.  Duty hours are 0830-1700 on Monday through Friday, excluding Federal and training holidays.  There is no need to report to TSB Headquarters at Building 3360.

During Duty Hours - Report to the HHC orderly room, located in room 1052 of the Soldier Support Institute (SSI), Building 10,000, at the corner of Lee Road and Hampton Parkway.

After Duty Hours - Sign in with the SSI Staff Duty Officer, also located in Building 10,000, by the main entrance on Lee Road, and then report to A Co on the morning of the next duty day.
