“I am cosponsoring Sen. Inhofe’s proposal to delay the sale or transfer of these F-16s and tanks to Egypt while we secure key commitments from Egypt because it is absolutely necessary during this dangerous time of transition,” Alexander said. “If we don’t handle the crisis in Egypt correctly, we risk both our own security interests and the security of our allies, especially Israel.”

Remember the value of having a body that protects minority rights and how damaging it would be to make the Senate like the House.
We have a big spending and borrowing problem in this country: we're borrowing 42 cents of every dollar we spend, we're headed off a fiscal cliff... So, you'd think the Senate would have a budget.
Why not bring up the appropriations bills and do our job under the Constitution to limit spending and get a head start on the business of putting fiscal problems we have behind us?
