CST is provided by Army personnel on an Army installation known as a Mobilization Training Center (MTC). The training class may include Navy or Coast Guard personnel who merge in with the Air Force group. Attendees are expected to adapt to the Army culture while in training. All CST locations have a small detachment of Air Force personnel who are there to ensure the Air Force trainees are being properly trained and equipped. The detachment staff serves as liaisons between the trainees and their home station, 602d Training Group Provisional  and sometimes also the downrange unit. The detachment staff will in- and out-process the Air Force trainees and keep tabs on them the entire time they are at the MTC.

tabCombat Airmen Skills Training (CAST) Units
Combat Airmen Skills Training (CAST)  is a 10 day course intended for deployers who will operate "inside the wire".  This class is typically attended by Air Expeditionary Force (AEF) deployers.  While conducted on Army or joint installations, the training is provided by Air Force personnel.
