Prevent Child Abuse America's Network of 47 Statewide Chapters are critical to the successful realization of our mission. While defined by their shared focus on the prevention of child abuse and neglect, and similar in many of the activities they support and implement - advocacy, public awareness, training/education, prevention programming, coalition building, and Child Abuse Prevention Month activities among others - PCA America's state Chapters are also independent of one another and unique in terms of the kinds of strategies and programming they offer.

To find the Chapter in your home state please click on your state on the accompanying map. If your state does not have a Chapter and you want to learn more about what you can do to bring a Chapter to your state please click here to read about Chapter Benefits and contact Barb Shaffer, PCA America's Manager of Chapter Services at bshaffer@preventchildabuse.org.

Please note, that PCA America only charters one Chapter per state and our Chapters not only share our mission, but are statewide in focus, and adhere to the same common criteria and required elements. To see a list of the criteria and common elements please click here.

PCA America's approach to new Chapter development is to bring a group of key stakeholders in a state together to discuss the state's child abuse and neglect prevention needs, as well as whether an existing organization is positioned to pursue the PCA America Chapter charter in that state.

If being involved in such an effort appeals to you, please feel free to contact us.
