The official hurricane season starts June 1 and runs through Nov. 30 each year. However, tropical storms and seasonal depressions can quickly escalate into categorical hurricanes at any time, making hurricane readiness and disaster preparedness critical for all AFAMS personnel and their families.
All AFAMS personnel are encouraged to have hurricane kits and evacuation plans prepared and ready.
