NRCS is taking a second signup for the On-Farm Energy Initiative, funded
through the Environmental Quality Incentives Program. Applications
are due at the NRCS offices by close of business on March 15, 2013.

Through NRCS' Farm and Ranchlands Protection Program (FRPP), $1 million
will be available to successful applicants in Fiscal Year 2013.
Applications submitted by March 29, 2013 will be considered for funding
this fiscal year.

Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack has
announced that Hispanic and women farmers who were denied applications
for loan or loan servicing assistance for discriminatory reasons by USDA
between 1981 and 2000 can file claims up through March 25,
2013.
