Over Fourth of July weekend in 2009, Harbaugh was a member of the NFL Coaches Tour to Iraq and Kuwait. Harbaugh was joined by Giants head coach Tom Coughlin, current CBS studio analyst Bill Cowher, St. Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher and Monday Night Football analyst Jon Gruden.

"The USO is one of these great organizations," Harbaugh said following his tour. "What they do for troops is first class all the way. I feel like America is in good hands as long as these very special people keep making very special sacrifices to keep sane those who keep us safe."

Davis was part of the 2010 NFL All-Stars Tour that visited troops deployed in Afghanistan and Qatar. Teamed up with Cleveland Browns offensive tackle Joe Thomas, Buffalo Bills defensive end Mario Williams and Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten, Davis was thoroughly impressed by the servicemen and women.

Davis said at the time: "I've had a terrific experience on my USO tour. The troops have taught us so much and it is amazing to see their courage and bravery."
