Critical Item Management

Welcome to the Critical Item Management Special Interest Area!

This community was established to help practitioners of Critical Item Management (CIM) access and understand regulatory and discretionary requirements, practices, and procedures.

The CIM Special Interest Area is partitioned to address CIM at various levels of applicability. The CSI Public Law, DFARS rules, DoD instructions, and instructions and guidance issued by the Joint Aeronautical Commanders Group (JACG) apply across the military Services, Defense Logistics Agency, and Defense Contract Management Agency. Service-specific and Agency-specific policies and guidance are also available.

Please note: Each section of the CIM Special Interest Area enables users to ask questions about or comment on the material presented. These questions and comments are submitted to the appropriate Subject Matter Experts for a response.
